A network of neighbors and coalition of communities committed to getting #BackToBetter! Our goal is to create a new collateral within our communities by challenging each other to extend examples of hope in humanity, glimpses of love and intentional routines that align the body, mind and soul to flourish.
We are a diverse group of neighbors, co-workers, friends and relatives who care about the quality of our community. We value our differences for the richness created all around us; from IL RT 59 on the west to IL RT 53 on the east and from I-88 and Warrenville Road on the north to 119th Street and Wolf’s Crossing on the south.
We embrace growth and prosperity in all forms and place a premium on safety and security. We have a long view and persistent vision of a preferred future, we value education and the opportunity to learn and grow into the individuals, families and community we are destined to be.
The Back to Better (Naperville, IL) Community exists as platform to spotlight service, charity and generosity. Our goal is to create a new collateral within our community by challenging each other to extend examples of hope in humanity, glimpses of love and intentional routines that align the body, mind and soul to flourish.
As we continue to come out of isolation-in-place and focus on getting back to business, going back to school, reconnecting in our places of worship and civic groups or any of the countless public freedoms we enjoy, let’s not merely chant the mantra of “get Back to Normal” or talk about “the NEW Normal”. Let’s in stand talk openly about the “true” normal because normal is full of people in need financially, socially and emotionally. Let’s not bet back to normal, let’s get “Back to Better”.
Our world, local community and individual lives have been impacted in indelible ways. We must first honor each of lives lost to the pandemic well before we mention the many material set backs in income, surrendered rites of passage or complying with emerging guidelines for a post-pandemic public life. We need to properly grieve each of the lives, events, experiences and opportunities we’ve lost.
The question is how? How might we share in our sense of loss while at the same time never losing the intention of defining the true and lasting legacy of COVID-19.
In sum, we’ve always been a community nationally recognized for ample amenities, countless opportunities and metropolitan access with a small town feel. We are equipped with all we need in order to fix our focus of gratitude, entrepreneurial spirit and empathy for the plight of others well beyond the peak of the pandemic or an arbitrary date on the calendar so that the thought of “for the sake of others” becomes the surging NEW PULSE OF OUR COMMUNITY.
